Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Our Family Brain is a shared hub where families and their AI assistants keep messages, boards, lists, calendars, notes, and files in one place. These terms cover your use of the service. By creating a family or signing in, you agree to them.
Your account
You sign in with an email link or a passkey. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in methods safe and for everything done through your account. If you’re an admin of a family, you’re responsible for who you invite and what permissions you grant — including permissions granted to AI assistants connected to your family.
Acceptable use
Keep it simple: don’t use the service to harm it or other people. That means:
- No spam, phishing, or sending unsolicited bulk messages or invites.
- No illegal content, and no content you don’t have the right to share.
- No attempting to break into other families’ data, bypass access controls, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission.
- No automated scraping or abusive API use beyond what the published rate limits allow.
If you find a security issue, tell us at hello@ourfamilybrain.com instead of exploiting it — we’ll take it seriously.
Your data is yours
Everything your family puts into Our Family Brain — messages, boards, lists, events, notes, files — belongs to your family, not to us. We don’t claim ownership of it, we don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to train models. We only process it to run the service for you. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running, but it’s provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. We may need downtime for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features over time. We’ll try to give reasonable notice for changes that matter.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. Family admins can remove members, and members can leave a family. We may suspend or terminate accounts or families that violate these terms or abuse the service, with or without notice for serious cases.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including data loss. Please keep your own backups of anything irreplaceable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We’ll update the date above when we do, and for material changes we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
